    Online Booking Calendar Going Ahead in 2015!

    With positive feedback from Mentors at a recent General Meeting, the L2P Steering Committee has ratified a proposed online booking Calendar. Based on the popular Google Calendars, the online Calendar will be given a three month probation period from February 2015 to May 2015. Starting on June 1st 2015 all Mentors will be working online to book their students for lessons. This will also be made easier as the Calendar can be accessed from Androids, I-phones and Tablets.     Baw Baw L2P Wins Grants of Over $13,000

    Last week was full of awful pressure and brought to a head the imminent threat of closure of our L2P program due to lack of funds and withdrawal of 2 major supporting businesses. Last Tuesday, 20 Mentors attended a bawbawl2p.org website information session and were introduced to the idea of using bawbawl2p Google Calendar to check the bookings and making bookings and not having to go to the Police station to change, scrub out or add to the diary.     Latest Mentor Training Results

    9 community volunteers successfully completed Mentor training in August 2014.  Gary Blackwood gracefully provided us with training facilities, Coordinator Beth Carr provided nutritional suppers and the new Mentors are now being matched with our Learner drivers. This makes 36 Mentors in total.

    Farewelling Mentor Robert

    Robert was introduced to Baw Baw L2P at a U3A presentation and has been involved with Baw Baw L2P since training in October 2009. He has been a patient and calm supervisor, guiding 6 Learner drivers towards gaining their P’s. Robert has stepped in when other Mentors were not available, come to our skills training and information sessions and left his hat behind after 2 of the annual Mentor dinners. Thank you Robert for all your time and travel and support over the last 5 years.We expect to see you at Warragul Community House and at our Mentor Gatherings if you have the time available.
