    Online Booking Calendar Going Ahead in 2015!

    With positive feedback from Mentors at a recent General Meeting, the L2P Steering Committee has ratified a proposed online booking Calendar. Based on the popular Google Calendars, the online Calendar will be given a three month probation period from February 2015 to May 2015. Starting on June 1st 2015 all Mentors will be working online to book their students for lessons. This will also be made easier as the Calendar can be accessed from Androids, I-phones and Tablets.     Baw Baw L2P Wins Grants of Over $13,000

    Last week was full of awful pressure and brought to a head the imminent threat of closure of our L2P program due to lack of funds and withdrawal of 2 major supporting businesses. Last Tuesday, 20 Mentors attended a bawbawl2p.org website information session and were introduced to the idea of using bawbawl2p Google Calendar to check the bookings and making bookings and not having to go to the Police station to change, scrub out or add to the diary.     The Importance of Maintaining Your Logbook

    I recently took a learner for their licence test. It had taken 3 weeks to book. Plenty of time to get ready. The learner had already completed sixty hours, privately driving with a licenced friend. I had explained to carefully fill out the logbook. Make sure all hours were correctly written up and the hours carefully totalled up. All certified drivers should complete the front of the book, each page should be filled in by the learner at the top of the page.     At a recent meeting on April 7th at Warragul Community house attended by members of Vicroads and the local Police over 80 learners and their Mentors were briefed on issues that concerned them regarding being a safe driver.
